Green Energy Design

As part of the Green Energy Design event at 2008's Fuorisalone in Milan, GVM created the Shafa lounge chairs, designed by Luca Trazzi, italian architect born in Verona and already famous for his work with the Swatch and Illy coffee houses. For GVM he designs the Shafa, where design professionals can meet & sit down and relax between events of the busy Milano design week. Trazzi believes that designs should be elegant and timeless instead of fashionable, which is why the Shafa stands for Architecture and design - both of which delimit and create the spaces in which we live – and presenting marble as a design material for those spaces.
